Through Blossoming Beyond Barriers, Africa Development Promise continued to uplift the hopes, voices, and livelihoods of women in Uganda and Rwanda. These efforts have had a profound impact on communities in East Africa, according to Monica LaBiche Brown, Africa Development Promise founder. On August 20th, guests gathered under the summer sun at the Denver Botanic Gardens to reflect on the strength, resilience, and leadership of women in East Africa. The event featured leaders from the local community. The afternoon luncheon recognized deserving community champions for their work. Speakers included board chair Jean Nicholson and founder LaBiche Brown.
