Defending champion, Orlando Pirates, has beaten Sekhukhune United 1-nil in their MTN8 first-leg semi-final clash at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
Midfielder Deon Hotto scored for the Buccaneers just before half-time, in what was to be the only goal of the clash.
The second leg of the semi-final tie will be played in Orlando next Saturday.
On Sunday, Mamelodi Sundowns will host Golden Arrows at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville in the first leg of their semi-final encounter.
