The government has urged South Africans to rally behind Banyana Banyana as they face hosts Morocco in the WAFCON 2026 quarter-finals this Saturday night.
The match kicks off at 10pm.
Government spokesperson William Baloyi says Banyana Banyana’s determination and resilience have inspired the country as they continue to fly the South African flag high on the continental stage.
“Wear your Banyana Banyana jerseys, national colours or other South African symbols of support. Whether at home, at work or in public spaces, let us rally behind the national women’s team as they continue to make South Africa proud.”
