New Zealand have made a winning start in the inaugural Nations Championship. The All Blacks, under new coach Dave Rennie, have beaten Six Nations champions, France, 34-32 in a thriller in Christchurch.
The hosts, who led 19-13 at halftime, outscored their opponents by five tries to four with wing Will Jordan and scrumhalf Cam Roigard, each scoring a brace.
Rennie took over as All Blacks coach from Scott Robertson four months ago after the once mighty All Blacks produced a string of indifferent results. It included a record 43-10 defeat to South Africa in Wellington last year.
The Springboks open their campaign against England at Ellis Park in Johannesburg later on Saturday.
