The Pirates Stadium will now be known as Orlando Amstel Arena after the football club signed an official partnership deal with the beer brand.
The Soweto giants unveiled Amstel as their official beer partner on 6 August 2025 , five months later, the two entities revealed the new name for the iconic stadium.
The stadium has a capacity of over 35 000, fans seated in the west stand will now be greeted by newly installed bold red seats featuring Amstel branding.
In a statement, the club said this marks a new chapter in the story of Soweto football.
“The unveiling itself drew attention beyond the venue, as the streets of Orlando briefly came to a standstill. Passers-by paused to witness the moment the cover dropped, revealing the new stadium name in a powerful visual symbol of change and continuity,” the statement reads.
