The BBC is now accept­ing appli­ca­tions for the 2025 BBC News Kom­la Dumor award, which cel­e­brates out­stand­ing jour­nal­ism in Africa.

Now in its tenth year, the award hon­ours the lega­cy of Kom­la Dumor, the dis­tin­guished Ghana­ian broad­cast­er and for­mer BBC World News pre­sen­ter, who left a last­ing impact on audi­ences world­wide. He was renowned for cham­pi­oning authen­tic and dynam­ic sto­ry­telling about Africa.

The award is open to jour­nal­ists liv­ing and work­ing in Africa who demon­strate excep­tion­al sto­ry­telling skills.
