Africa in the Rockies, headquartered in Boulder, Colorado is a business that gathers and disseminates information about the African community in the Rocky Mountain region of the United States.
This information then becomes accessible to those that need it. Because of such information, it becomes easy to be able to access, connect and build connections with the vast and diverse community of immigrants and peoples of color in the region. An abundance of such information is available on the organization’s website.
After the 2019 Africa summit organized by Africa Agenda, the organization wrote about the work that Africa Agenda is doing in the community, including work by Africa News Matters. In summary, a writer for Africa in the Rockies said the following:
“Africa Agenda, a Denver-based non-profit held a summit to discuss accurate reporting of Africa last Friday, for a “fun and meaningful night of great discussion. Journalists, political, nonprofit and business leaders and other specialists on Africa…(will) explore the challenge of African news and craft news agendas to benefit both Africans and Americans…Drawing inspiration from the Obama Administration’s historic and highly successful 2014 U.S.-Africa Leaders’ Summit, Africa Agenda believes that African communities need to work with their counterparts around the world to foster understanding that strengthens the foundations of a purposeful African continent.”
