We are excited to share with you that Africa Agenda’s longtime executive director and founder, George Bamu, was honored by the Colorado Black Roundtable at their GAINING GROUND IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY ANNUAL SOCIAL EQUITY SUMMIT in Denver on October 15th.
Along with other Black leaders who are making a difference, Bamu received the Larry Borom Community Service Award for his work with Africa Agenda. Later, he was invited to join a conversation, Who Are We As Africans in America, moderated by CBRT leader, John Bailey.
“The Colorado Black Roundtable recognizes George Bamu. He founded Africa Agenda in December 2004. For more than 20 years, Africa Agenda’s mission has been to elevate and develop relationships between Colorado and the African continent,” Bailey said.
