United Nations Rank The Happiest African Countries
The Sustainable Development Solutions Network has released the World Happiness Report for Africa. The report, compiled for the United Nations, ranks the happiness of countries based on six factors: economy, social support, life expectancy, ability to freely make choices, generosity, and corruption. The top countries included Algeria, Namibia, and Tunisia. Those in the bottom included Liberia, Rwanda, and Burundi.
Kenyans Believe Government Corruption Has Increased
A survey conducted by Kenya’s Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has shown that more than half of Kenya’s population believe, that government corruption has increased since 2013.
When Kenyan president, Uhuru Kenyatta came to power in 2013, he promised to fight corruption within his government. Many Kenyans, however, do not feel that he is doing enough to fight the problem.
