University of Washington An Annual Celebration in Colorado
Each year in the United States the month of February is celebrated as Black History Month. Black History Month is an opportunity to not only look at the history of Black people in America but also the contributions they have made to American history.
In the state of Colorado, Africans, African-Americans and other people of color play an important role in the celebration of the history of African Americans. While the population of Black people in the state is small compared to Hispanics, causations, and other races, Black people have made tremendous contributions to making Colorado what it is today.
