Tanzania under curfew, Internet blackout after tense elections turn violent

An Internet blackout imposed after protests erupted on Tanzania’s election day Wednesday was still in place across the east African nation on Thursday. With President Samia Suluhu Hassan widely expected to solidify her power, protesters have criticised the exclusion of her biggest challengers from the presidential race.
