Tanzania charges more than 100 people with treason after protests over disputed election

Prosecutors in Tanzania on Friday charged more than 100 people with treason over their alleged roles in deadly violence surrounding the country’s disputed election, which saw President Samia Suluhu Hassan win a second term with more than 97 percent of the vote.
