Sudan’s RSF paramilitary group agrees to US-backed proposal for humanitarian truce

Sudan’s Rapid Support Force, a paramilitary group that has been at war with the Sudanese military for over two years, said Thursday it had agreed to a humanitarian truce that was proposed by a US-led mediator group known as the Quad. Sudan’s army-aligned government indicated earlier this week that it would press on with the war.
