Spreading famine puts more of Sudan at risk

At least 40 civilians have been killed in El-Obeid after Sudan’s paramilitary RSF attacked the North Kordofan capital, according to local media. The assault comes as the two-year war intensifies, with Kordofan and Darfur now the conflict’s epicentre. Last week, the RSF seized El-Fasher and advanced into Kordofan. Both El-Fasher and Kadugli are now facing famine, according to global hunger monitors.
