Elections Cameroon

Cameroonians went to the polls on Sunday, October 12th, in what is considered a consequential vote to elect the president of the country.

The results are not expected until October 26th.

For now, incumbent president, Paul Biya, 92, is hoping to extend his 43-year stay in power. That’s according to many experts, as well as many news reports about the potential outcome.

With competing forces of opposition leaders and external pressure, coupled with a civil way, the dynamics are hard to predict.
